Pat Dwyer

Dwyer DesignScapes was established in 1994 by Pat Dwyer and continues to be one of the premier firms in the central Kentucky region. Pat has approximately 43 years of experience in residential and commercial landscape design/build and practices his passion of creating exterior environments on a daily basis. He is committed to detail, quality, and exceptional client service that embody the core values of his company.
Pat received his Landscape Architectural degree from the University of Kentucky. While pursuing his degree, he had the opportunity to study architecture and landscape architecture in Italy. Those experiences continue to influence his work to this day by creating outdoor spaces that flow together in form and function. After working for another firm for 18 years and building the reputation of an honest and dedicated designer, Pat decided to start his own firm (Dwyer Landscaping). Later, he changed the name to Dwyer DesignScapes to more accurately reflect the services offered by his company. Dwyer DesignScapes has continued to grow with many of his clients, and now their children, seeking his knowledge and experience in Landscaping architecture, not to mention his down to Earth manner combined with his professionalism.
Mr. Dwyer is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the Kentucky Chapter of Landscape Architects (KSLA), a longtime member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). He is a University of Kentucky Fellow and a Paul Harris Fellow. Pat received the University of Kentucky Distinguished Alumni Award for the Louisville area in 2004. He generously contributes to many charities including the American Cancer Society, West End School, Yew Dell Gardens, Olmstead Parks Conservancy, Backside Learning Center, Crusade for Children, etc. He is a Vietnam War Veteran and lives in Louisville with his wife Janet. Pat has three wonderful children and 2 grandchildren.
